I have seen Project 52 popping up on a bunch of my favorite blogs over the past few months and love the idea behind it. I have seen it done a couple different ways (with a different theme each week or simply portrait shots). I have considered joining in before but haven't for a few reasons. The first, is that while I love organization and planning, schedules are not my thing. For some reason, as soon as something is scheduled for me, it feels more like a chore than something I want to do for fun. Secondly, while I am thankful for the camera that I do have, I don't have a super fancy camera so sometimes my pictures are not the quality that I am hoping for. Thirdly, Logan is not always easy to photograph. He is a typical three year old boy with lots of energy and doesn't love to sit and smile for the camera, though he does humor me from time to time.
Even with all of that in the back of my mind, I am so excited to try it out and see how it goes. Chelsea over at
hollands reverie convinced me to jump on board, and I am pretty excited about having one picture set aside each week as Logan grows. I am hoping to print them all into a picture book at the end of the year to have as a little scrapbook for him. So here goes...
01/52
A portrait of my son, once a week, every week.
With all of the snow days we have had lately, our sandbox in the basement has been the perfect little escape. When we aren't outside playing, this helps break up the cabin fever. You could move sand from truck to truck for hours.
Schedules aren't really my thing either but I'd actually love to get involved with this especially now I just bought a Go Pro! - love the portrait of your son - he looks so involved in what he's doing there :) Too cute!!

Oh I have heard that Go Pros are really fun! The people I know that own them absolutely love them. Thanks, the project 52 that has a different theme every week looked like it would be fun to try and really bring out some creativity too.
DeleteSo cute! My little one has a sandbox and he loves playing in it too

Thanks! Yes, it is so great to have on days that are too cold to be outside playing.
DeleteYay! I am so happy, your joining in. I love this picture- you captured a moment you will want to remember, one of the reasons I'm actually loving the project!!
