Our Summer Vacation

A couple weeks ago, I mentioned that I was working on a post about last month's vacation. Unfortunately, the part of the post that I have been working on just isn't going to happen. I had taken so many video clips of this vacation because I think a video does a better job of showing all of the fun than pictures do. However, I have spent way too much time trying to convert the files in order to upload the video. Maybe if I am feeling tech savvy and extra motivated at some point, I will give it another go. But for now, I wanted to at least post some pictures from our trip.

 My in-laws rented a lake camp, and invited us all up for the week. We had such a fun time with family. I always love getting that quality time when we go away with them. The boys had a great time, and Dan and I even got out for a fun kayak ride (kid free! ;).

We spent one of the days hiking a mountain, and got lucky with the perfect hiking weather. The hike itself, wasn't too long which was great for Logan. He and Grumps hiked the whole way up, and back down together (and Logan hasn't stopped talking about it since).

I appreciate these family trips more each year. I love that the boys get to spend the whole week with grandparents, aunts, and uncles. We play board games, have family dinners every night, go swimming, and hiking, and just have fun together. Dan's siblings had their boyfriend + girlfriend up for some of the trip, and I loved getting to know them more. I already can't wait for our next trip!
