Links Galore

1: Anyone ever try oil pulling? for a long time I thought there was no way I would be able to stomach it. I started Sunday though, and it isn't as bad as I was expecting. It will be interesting to see if I notice any difference after a few weeks.

2: I am trying out my own version of a capsule wardrobe. I came across a YouTube video about it, and then looked into it some more. In short, it is getting your wardrobe down to the very basics so that you actually love and wear everything in your closet. I am not cutting down to a specific number like some people do, but I have cut way down and it simplifies getting ready so much!

3: Since I went through all of my clothes, I had a few things written down that I was hoping to add. It came at a great time since my birthday was last month, and I had some gift cards to use. I really needed some new shoes, and wanted a pair of comfortable jeans that I could wear out with the kids anywhere. I picked up a pair of rain boots, a pair of black to-the-knee boots. I had been looking for a great deal on those for so long! I also picked up a pair of grey sneakers, and some grey flats. I found these jeans in a dark wash and for a better price at Marshalls.

4: I got a free benefit mascara from Ulta for my birthday, and actually really love it. I also picked up this mascara + lip combo with a gift card. As much as I love too faced products, those were definitely not for me.

5: Has anyone else been watching the new fuller house season on Netflix? Here's a workout to do while you're binge watching. :)

6: Have you heard the song "Never Stop"? A few weeks ago, Dan had just come home from a week long work trip. He told me to take a nice long bath, and enjoy a little alone time. He put that song on, and then locked the bathroom door (so there would be no kiddo interruptions) and left. It was the sweetest, and the alone time was a gift in itself. I love that man.

  1. Oh my goodness, YES!! I love that song! It's actually the soundtrack to our Italy trip video (for our five year anniversary). I get all teary eyed every time I listen to it. And in fact, I'm listening to it right now because you made me think of it, haha! It's actually my ringtone for when Christopher calls. ;)

Also, good to know about the birthday freebie from Ulta. I always forget that they do that. I'm signing up for their emails now so I'll get one come July. :)

  2. I've heard of oil pulling, but honestly don't really understand it much, so you'll have to write more about your experience with it! And what a sweet husband you have, haha! Alone time is the best, and I'm sure as a busy mom that must be hard to come by.

    1. Yes, maybe I will post an update in a few weeks! I love being with my boys, but alone time is so so important too. I am so thankful whenever I get it!
