A New Year // A New Start

I am a firm believer that there can never be too many sink bath pictures, because they grow out of it entirely too fast.
Our family started the new year with colds all around. Thankfully, we are starting to feel better, and the baby seems to have avoided it. So we have been doing a lot of disinfecting, laundry, and warm baths. We have also been doing a lot of purging around the house, and I am trying to get things organized after the Christmas season.

I bought a new planner for 2016 the other day. Starting a new planner is one of my favorite parts of the whole year. Anyone else still write everything down in a planner instead of a cell phone? I just can't make myself switch over. And while I really only have one "resolution" this year, (call it lack of motivation, or just being too busy to sit and write them out) it feels so good to be starting over fresh.

I have been thinking and planning for Logan's birthday party this month. As cliché as it may be, I truly can't believe that my baby will be four years old in just a couple weeks! He wants a batman party this year (he had a hard time choosing between his astronaut party and a batman one last year). So I have been doing a little planning for that here and there.

We have been out playing in the snow some lately. Logan has had a blast building snow forts with Dan. We also made it out to the library for the first time since the baby was born today. The librarians had gotten to know us pretty well at story hour this year, and were happy to meet our newest little guy. Logan had his arms filled with books within about five minutes of arriving. We left with eleven books and have probably already read half of them.

Do you all do New Year's resolutions? I don't think I have skipped a year for as long as I can remember, but I am thinking monthly goals might be a better way to go this year.

  1. Yay I am so glad you appreciate real planners like I do! In fact I got a new planner for Christmas. For some reason I really just like writing things down on paper and crossing them off, and such. You just don't get the same satisfaction on a phone.

Little boys playing in the snow is seriously the best! Me and my little one have been doing a lot of that lately
