Around Here This Week...

We love post dinner playground trips in the summer. It is still light enough to play for a while but cool enough that we are I am not melting in the heat. Logan made a little buddy at the playground the other night. They played in the field with sticks and rocks for a good hour before it was time to head home, completely ignoring all of the fun slides and swings of course. :)

The baby's car seat came in the mail this week. Logan loved playing with the giant box all morning. After lunch, we took it outside and made a painting project out of it. He made sure to cover himself in paint too. 

I have been starting to organize some of the things that we have for the boys' room this week. I am hoping we can get the walls painted this weekend and then start in on the fun part. Updates to come!

Logan and I had a mommy/ son date to see the Lego movie this week. We went into micheals to grab something for their room afterwards, and came out with this little lego set. He needed a lot of help putting it together because the kit was for kids much older than him, but he has been playing with it constantly since we brought it home. 

Dan was home with Logan the other night after work. When I came home they had made another big box into a car/ airplane. There has been so much talk about getting a four door car before the baby gets here, that he asked me if we could cut four doors into the box so that the baby could go with him. So I swaddled charlie brown up and Logan was thrilled to be driving the baby around. And then we practiced buckling "the baby" into his car seat. 

We got some much needed down time at home this week. It felt great to be able to relax a little and just enjoy some afternoons around the house. What was the highlight of your week? Hope you all had good one too!
