Making: Watercolor paintings lately. So relaxing!
Cooking: Macaroni at 10am because I have a pasta obsessed kid. Yes, this would be his second breakfast. That boy can eat!
Drinking: Grape juice and frozen seltzer (like a homemade slushy).
Reading: A ton lately. I am going through some of the books that I have had kicking around for a while. I just finished a novel, am halfway through a parenting book recommendation, and then I plan to read one about an adoption story after that.
Wanting: A girl's day with my sister who lives in California.
Looking: For toddler sized white t-shirts that don't shrink. They all turn into belly undershirts right away.
Playing: Sword fights and legos with Logan.
Wasting: Time browsing pinterest. I had ignored it for a while but I am starting to have fun with it again.
Trusting: In God's direction for our little family.
Sewing: A pile of Logan's stuffed animals that have needed some repairing.
Wishing: It wasn't tax season.
Enjoying: The first day this year that we went out without jackets. (so nice!!)
Waiting: Impatiently, for warm beach days and cook outs.
Liking: Reading about different parts of the country/ world on other people's blogs.
Wondering: If we should sign Logan up for soccer.
Loving: That it is light outside much later. Hooray for being able to go for sunset family walks again!
Hoping: Logan's excitement for house chores never dies down. He asks if it is cleaning time yet as soon as he is awake in the morning. I know this is unlikely, but I can hope. :)
Marveling: At the fact that Dan and I are coming up on five years married. Sometimes I still feel like nineteen year old newlywed me. Time flies when your having fun, I guess!
Needing: To do some spring cleaning/ organizing. Anyone else notice everything piling up during the winter?
Anticipating: Blueberry picking with Logan. He loved it so much last year, and talks about it constantly.
Contemplating: Cutting my hair once the weather warms up. But I love having it long too. Decisions.
Smelling: The last of my favorite orchard peach candle.
Wearing: Yoga pants and a long sleeved tee shirt. Mom life.
Following: Some fashion blogs. I am not good about putting a lot of effort into that type of thing, but I do love seeing the looks other ladies put together.
Noticing: That I haven't backed up our pictures in way too long. So not good.
Knowing: Logan fights napping until he has bags under his eyes, but still really needs them.
Thinking: I am ready to try some more DIY furniture makeovers. Yard sales are right around the corner!
Praying: For the single or teen moms out there. Parenting can be so hard even when it is done as a team. So I am praying for a little extra strength and love to be sent their way.
Bookmarking: This yummy sounding chicken recipe.
Opening: The magazines that came in the mail today.
Giggling: At the conversation Logan and I had while playing "store" the other day....

Me: Okay sir, I would like to buy this mr.potato head please.
Logan: Okay that is six hundred dollars.
Me: Daddy would not want me to pay that much for a potato.
Logan: But he's not the customer.
Feeling: So incredibly blessed.
You were 19 when you guys got married?! So young! Granted, I was 21 and people usually look at me like I'm growing an extra set of arms when I tell them I got married a few weeks after turning 21, but still! ;) This year we celebrate 11 years together and 7 years of marriage... I'd say I feel pretty solid about our choice to marry young. ;)
ReplyDeleteAlso, I hope Logan does continue to love to do chores! What a sweet little one!
Yes, we got plenty of those looks/comments too. ;) We met in seventh grade and dated all the way up through high school. So it felt like we had been together forever even though we were still really young. I am with you about not regretting it one bit!
DeleteYour kid and I would get along great - I could eat pasta for breakie any day ;)
ReplyDeleteAw I want girl days and to go blueberry picking too - sounds divine. It really does.
Back up your pics!!!! So sad to lose memories and sounds like you've got stunning ones xxxx
