A Break From The Busy

The holidays seemed so busy this year. We could be found popping a frozen pizza into the oven at eight at night. The house was a mess on any given day. We were out buying gifts, and shipping presents for nephew and nieces. We were at Christmas parties. We were all over the place... and it was good. Great, even. But it was all so busy that without even realizing it, we really needed a break.

So that is just what we have done. The past week has been so laid back. We have spent a lot of time at home. We have snuggled more, baked more, slept more, played more. It has been wonderful. I am soaking up these last few weeks of Logan being two. It all goes by so fast.

Here's how we have been spending our down time....

Riding bikes in those few warm days we had after Christmas.

Climbing and sliding at the playground.

I have been going through this book with a women's Bible study every week. 

I have met some amazing ladies through it and learned so much. 

He has this book memorized and "reads" it to himself now.

A ton of crafts at the new kid-sized table from Grammy and Grumps.

He loves having his own table!

I am trying out a new laundry system and it is working so well!

I started the washer the other day, and then realized I didn't even have a load left to put in it.

 No more mountain of clean laundry in our room waiting to be folded either. Hooray!

We have been loving this magazine that came in the mail this week.

My mom got him a subscription for Christmas and it is so fun to read through together.

This was right before Logan buried his face in the cat and told him he "wuvs him soo much".

Thankfully, we have a very patient kitty that "wuvs" him right back.

It has gotten so cold here this week, but Logan convinced me to take him outside today.

We had a fun walk in the woods, and he had his fair share of clean snow to eat.

Has anyone else started watching friends again since it was added to netflix?!

Dan and I have been watching it after Logan is in bed at night.
