Why you should take everything a two year old says with a grain of salt....
Exhibit A:
Yesterday [yes·ter·day]
n. all days before today. In the history of ever.
Yesterday was yesterday... and last year was also yesterday.
*taken directly from the official toddler dictionary.
Tonight's dinner conversation:
Logan: Who was that man that came to our house in his truck yesterday?
Dan: Yesterday? You mean the day Paige and Eliza were over playing?
Logan: No... while you were at work. He had a toolbox and a green shirt.
Dan shot me a confused smirk.
"So... who was this man that came over while I was at work?"
"I honestly have no idea what he is talking about."
"Righhht."
Neither of us could figure out who he could possibly be talking about.
Me: Did he talk to you?
Logan: No.
Me: Did he talk to me?
Logan: No. He was just fixing our windows.
AH-HUH! The repair man that came to fix our window last spring. He had a tool box, and a truck. He must have had a green shirt too. Although, I don't understand how he would possibly remember that.
And that is how "yesterday" almost got me in trouble ;)
crazy kid.
Lol- glad you were able to pull yourself out of that one, only slightly awkward I'm sure! Fantastic story, definitely one to remember!
