This was the year...

....The year that I finally made a decent raspberry truffle brownie. It has been Dan's absolute favorite dessert for as long as I can remember. When we got married, I knew that perfecting my raspberry truffle brownie was going to make for a very happy husband. My mother in law gave me a copy of the recipe, and for the past four years I have tried to make a batch that compares to hers. I still think her's will always be best, but it was better than any of my past attempts and was the perfect birthday treat!

Dan turned twenty four Tuesday. He was working during the day so Logan and I made him a card, did some baking, and cooked his birthday dinner. When he got home we spent the night together playing, opening a couple presents, and eating brownies and ice cream. 

If you have been reading my blog for long, you probably already know exactly how I feel about him. So I will just say that I am so proud of the man and leader that he is for us. I am so thankful that God gave me someone that is willing to work hard for our family every day, both at work and at home. He makes me smile a million times a day, and watching him love Logan makes me so happy that he chose me to build a family with.
