Some Favorites Lately...

>>These oreo rice krispie treats that Andrea brought to family dinner last night. They were so good that I went out to get the ingredients today and will be making them very soon. Yum!

>>Two year old birthday parties. The excitement. The sticky hands and cake covered faces. My goodness... just cuteness overload, really.

>>Spring cleaning. I haven't done as much as I would like to have done, but slowly we are getting there. A Cabinet here... A closet there. Nap times spent organizing feel so productive and make me a little happier inside. Now, I can only hope it starts feeling like spring soon!

>>The popcorn popper that we got as a wedding present nearly four years ago has finally made it out of storage. I had forgotten that fresh popped popcorn really makes any movie night feel like a family fun night.

>>Cooking with no recipe. I have been making a point to try to waste less. That means that the day or two before going grocery shopping usually become our most creative days. So far I have discovered a recipe for meatballs, spaghetti sauce, and a pork marinade that were winners in our book. I usually do meal plans for the week, but sometimes it is fun to make what we have stretch a little and come up with some of my own recipes.

>> Making time to read. Now that Logan is a little older and can play by himself for a few minutes at a time, I have been letting myself sit down with a good book again. I am reading two right now because I couldn't choose just one.

>>Having my fridge covered in toddler art. It makes me so thankful for the healthy little boy God has given us. Every time I look at them it sends a mental picture of his little hands holding a paint brush or crayon, his eyebrows furrowed in concentration, and his proud smile when he is all done.

>>Good Friends. I know this probably sounds so obvious, but I have really needed ones that understand lately... the close kind that you can say anything to. The kind that will listen and understand when it feels like no one else does. My friend Kim is that way... and I just love her.

>>Family Walks outside. We have bundled up and gone for a few already but I can't wait to start getting outside more!
