Some Time With The Girls

My friends from high school and I had our sixth annual Christmas get together last night. It is always a great time. I wish we were able to see each other more often. When we are spread out across the country and in all different stages of life, this Christmas party is a great reminder of how much I love them. We did a delicious soup, salad, and bread stick dinner, enjoyed some girl talk and catching up, exchanged gifts, and fit in a couple episodes of say yes to the dress (with all of our opinions flying of course).  Dan did some daddy-son things with Logan for the night and it made for a pretty perfect time.

Meagan (far right) surprised Logan with a present this year. It was the sweetest gift and he absolutely loves it. He has been coloring on and off all morning. She said she found it for five dollars at a thrift store. She sanded it down and repainted it (with colors that will match Logan's room). She also repainted the chalk board with new chalk board paint to give it a nice finish. The back is a white board which she added clothes pins to so that he can clip his artwork up. I can see him using this for so many years to come, and it will be great to use as he starts to learn letters and numbers too. I have the sweetest friends.

Meagan also made that pretty canvas. It looks great in the kitchen.
