We all have those traditions that we look forward to every year. I think that is especially true around the holidays. I have so many fun memories from my childhood of things that we did every year, around this time. I believe those memories (whatever they may be) are so important for people to have and to hold on to.
The Christmas parade isn't one of those memories for me. I just went to the one that I am referring to in this post, for the first time last year. It is however, one of those childhood memories for Dan and I am excited that it can be for Logan too. We had so much fun at the Christmas parade last year, that I had actually marked it down on my calendar for this month, a few weeks ago. I didn't want to miss it because I knew Logan would love it.
Friday, my mother in law asked me if we wanted to go again this year. She also asked if we wanted to come over for lunch first. It sounded like the perfect way to spend a Saturday! We went over to their house for a quick lunch and then headed to the parade. It was a little longer than last year, but we managed to enjoy the whole thing without completely turning into ice. Logan has been talking about it since yesterday afternoon.
& Mrs Clause. Even a few spidermen made appearances.
As a cute little side note*
Logan still has no idea who Santa could be. We don't plan to "do Santa" with him anyway, but I did chuckle at his answer when I asked who this man is...
He said, "Gran-fadda". Which is actually my grandfather. (Logan just calls him "fadda" for short.) I don't know about you, but most would say he isn't that far off...
