Play Dates And What I Think Of Them

I love play dates. They are just the best. I love that Logan has a buddy or buddies to play with while I get some mommy talk in. It is one of my favorite parts about staying home with my guy. There is also nothing quite like the nap that comes after a play date. All in all, it is a good time.

We get together with my brother's family once a week for dinner. It is usually dark by the time we are all there for dinner. The kids have a blast but they don't actually get a ton of play time between the dark, the colder weather, and actually enjoying dinner. So every once in a while my sister in law and I get together for play dates.

When she asked about one this week I was all for it. She only stayed for a few hours in the morning. She took Paige home for a nap in the afternoon, but that gave Eliza and I some auntie/ niece time. I love the time that I have with my nieces. It has always been special to snuggle up with them and read a book. Or paint some tiny toe nails... I don't get to do much nail painting as a boys mommy. I soak up the time that I have with them. Watching them grow as their interests change. I just love these kids. All of them.

We read books.
We did crafts.
We had chocolate milk.
We painted fingernails and toenails. She chose pink for her fingers and red for her toes.
We made cookies with hershey kisses on top and didn't eat a single kiss by itself.
We made memories.
Memories that I will always love to look back on.
