15 months

Logan turned fifteen months on April 17th so I thought I would do an update on some of the things he is saying and doing. Dan and I made a list of as many words as we could think of that he has been saying. We probably missed a few but we were surprised at how long the list was once we got going. Some of them sound similar when he says them but we can usually tell what he means. Here are the ones that we came up with....

  • Mommy
  • Bath
  • Daddy
  • Chad
  • Iza (Eliza)
  • Out (outside)
  • Au Do (Thank you)

  • Boo Berry (blueberry)
  • Cheese
  • Ow
  • Banana
  • Uh Oh
  • Car

He has been working on some new teeth too. His molars came in during the last week or two, and he finally seems to be on the other side of teething for now. He has also been going through a growth spurt. Thankfully, a growth spurt meant 3-5 hour afternoon naps and 14 hours of sleep at night. I will take it! He seems to be back to normal as far as sleep goes this week though. He has been taking 2-3 hour naps again and sleeping 10-12 hours at night.

He also came walking up the stairs like a grown person would instead of crawling up them the other day. I was headed back down stairs and it scared me a little bit when I saw him walking up them without holding on to anything. We have been playing outside a lot lately and that seems to be his favorite thing. I have also noticed that he has been less patient with being in his car seat lately. He is good for 30-40 minutes but he gets tired of it if he has to be strapped in much longer than that.

He has been going through an attachment phase. Last week when I left him for nursery he cried for quite a while and then wouldn't let go of the person that took him from me the whole time. I have also noticed that he is starting to be more aware of intimidating or scary situations. If there is a loud bang in the house he will cry and run to me. If he can hear feedback over the receiving end of the monitor he will cry, and today during his second haircut he seemed a little more upset than he was for his last one. He also woke up screaming during the night last night which never happens. After a sippy cup of warm milk he went back to bed happy.

And since I hardly ever post without pictures here are a few from his haircut with Auntie Christina today....

This was the only way we could get him to look towards the camera for a Before shot :)

 Another Before...
