This Easter was particularly laid back for us though. I think it was so laid back because Dan and Chad both had to work. It also seemed to really sneak up on us this year too. Wasn't it just New Years not that long ago? So anyway Logan and I headed to church with my mom in the morning and heard an awesome sermon. Logan made it a few minutes into the church service before he had the urge to move around and I had to bring him to nursery.
After church we went back to my mom's house and had a quick lunch. Then the three of us headed to the beach for a little bit. It was colder than we expected it to be but it was still fun! When Dan got out of work we headed over to his parents house to spend some time with them. It was so relaxed that it didn't feel like most Easters do but it was also kind of a refreshing change.
I decided to do a very simple Easter basket for Logan. Even though the day was pretty relaxed, we were barely home so he didn't end up opening it until after swimming lessons on Monday. I didn't want to try to do it while he was overtired because I wanted him to enjoy it.
He must have thought the bubbles were some kind of magic juice because he loved the bubble part of it, but when he saw them laying there he grabbed them and took a big gulp real quick. We didn't have the chance to grab the bottle before a disgusted look came over his face. Yuck!
Candy stuffed mouth here! |
He didn't end up caring about the peeps at all and we were probably better off that way anyway. |
