Christmas Festivities

I absolutely love Christmas. There is so much about it that I love. I won't get into everything, but I will say that every year at Christmas time I am reminded of how blessed I am. I am so blessed with an amazing God and family. This year was even more special because we had two extra blessings. We were able to enjoy Logan's first Christmas in our new house. It was so much fun watching him open presents and introducing him to the true meaning of Christmas (which he can't really understand yet, but one day he will)!

On Christmas Eve we spent some time over at Dan's parents. We opened presents and all three of us were very spoiled. I didn't get any pictures and have no idea why. After spending some time together there, we went to my grandparent's fourth annual Christmas Eve service held on their farm with a live nativity. Here are some pictures and a video from that service...

This was the first Christmas morning that Dan and I had really done our own little Christmas as a family. Dan's mom had made us all matching stockings. It makes them each so special coming from her. Christmas morning we woke up and hung out as a family for a little while. We opened stockings first and then opened presents later. I had opened a chocolate orange and given Logan a bite a few weeks before, and knew it would be a big hit when he found it at the bottom of his stocking. My mom has always put them in our stockings, so I decided to carry on the tradition with him. No, we did not let him eat all of it. :)

His Auntie Christina got him this basketball toy for the bath and he loves it!

After our little family Christmas we headed to my mom's for a delicious ham dinner. We were spoiled with gifts again there. I have no idea why we didn't get any of that time on camera either. Later in the afternoon we headed down to Masssachusetts to see Dan's relatives for the holiday. We had a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed every second of Logan's firsts!
