We all decided to start a cousin's garden at my mom's house this year. All six cousins live nearby now, and they all happen to love veggies. We were thankful that my mom said we were welcome to start a big one there, since she has a good area for a garden.
Work schedules didn't allow all six of the cousins to start the garden together, but they will all be helping out throughout the summer. It will be a good lesson in working for our food. We had a lot of fun, but I will say it is a job in itself trying to get things planted in semi-straight rows with three very excited kiddos (even with Jesse, Andrea, and I all there to help). We can't wait to see what grows (and where).
