Our Christmas {In Pictures}

About a month ago we got some updated family pictures for our Christmas cards...

This year's plan for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day was super relaxed, and I am SO thankful that it worked out that way. On Christmas Eve, we went on a family walk around a nearby lake. It was so foggy that you couldn't see very far out onto the lake, but the fog made it beautiful too. I took a few pictures of our walk from my cell phone...

After our walk, we headed back home and got ready for the candlelight service at our church. My mom joined us at our church for the service, and then we headed back home to get the boys ready for bed. I am glad I grabbed these two pictures of them in their Christmas pajamas, because Eliott's didn't make it through the night. :)  Dan and I stayed up until a ridiculous hour wrapping presents, eating ice cream, and watching shows together.

Logan came into our room early the next morning and climbed up into our bed. He settled in, and just when we thought we might get another hour of sleep he jumped up out of bed and screamed, "IT'S CHRISTMAS MORNING!" So he took off for the stairs, and we headed down to open stockings and read about Jesus' birth. Then we opened presents and had a big Christmas breakfast.

In the afternoon we went to my mom's house for more present swapping and playing with cousins. I loved that we took the chance to relax this Christmas. We weren't rushing around anywhere, and it made the day so much more special. I love my little family and feel so blessed.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with your loved ones too!

  1. Aw what a cute little family! I cannot wait to have children, because I feel like that will make Christmas that much more special. Is that a snake your son is holding??? Ah!

    1. It really is so much more fun now that he can understand it all (in my opinion anyway). It was a snakeskin that he found that had been shed. Crazy boys!
