Finally, the other night I had him climb back in for one last picture before I took the crib apart. I had only gotten the front rail off when he broke out crying. He told me that he loved his crib and putting it away made him sad. And since secretly it made me a little sad too, we decided that it could stay for a while. I decided he could use it as a day bed. I left the front rail off so that he could climb up with his stuffed animals anytime.
I did a little re-arranging things in his room to accommodate both beds for now. He still wants to sleep in his toddler bed, but loves having the other one to play on too. I thought that since I was sharing about his new bed I would snap a few pictures of what his room looks like now. I am working on ideas for completely changing it, but since I have changed a few things up here is how it looks for now...
He was watching frozen on my phone while I took pictures. |
I will probably be painting the bed and getting a new dresser, but didn't want to do anything permanent until we decide exactly what we want to do with the room. Getting the new bed was a good excuse to go through his room and organize a little. We also put away some of the "baby" things like the changing table and some toys.
