1. I found this tug boat at marshalls and knew Logan would love it right away. I had heard excellent reviews on these "green toys" before but always thought it was just because of the materials used to make them. I do love that these toys are made in the USA and from recycled milk jugs, but that wasn't why I decided to try them out. I love that they are dishwasher safe, made of a strong plastic that is much more durable than most toys these days, and are perhaps the best bath toys ever. They can be used in the bath and are so much easier to clean than the squeeze bath toys (no mildew growing inside them). He uses it in the bath but also just plays with it as an everyday toy too!
2. These V-Tech books are perfect for nap time or car rides. Logan doesn't always crash right away when we put him down for a nap, but we always at least try for a quiet time in the afternoon. We wanted something quiet that he can play with/ read/ sing with all by himself. He has the pooh bear one, and we borrowed the rhyme and discover one from his cousins. He has been using them for months and absolutely loves them.
3. I have been eyeing these muslin blankets for a while now. They are technically swaddling blankets so I wasn't sure how they would work with a toddler, but they have been perfect. If we are out at nap time or bed time he always asks me for a blanket to cuddle up with. Now that he is older, I often forget to bring one when we are going out for the day and he just doesn't settle as well without something to cuddle with. These are perfect because they are nice and thin (for hot summer days) and only take up a small amount of room in the diaper bag.
4. I got this baby food squeeze station when Logan was only about six months old. I was making his baby food at home and he loved the squeeze pouches. This made it so easy to make big batches and freeze them to use on the go. I still buy the pouches today and fill them with applesauce or yogurt. I love that it is something I can still use with him and that we will be able to use it with any future babies too.
5. I just discovered the clutch n clean wipes container about two weeks ago. (This link is for a six pack but can be found individually at walmart) I can't even believe that I never knew about this simple little travel wipes container before. We have always hated how the wipes tear off in pieces when the hard plastic wipes container is too full. These have cute prints, are so much easier to use, and prevent wipes from drying out.
6. We loved the tug boat so much, that I had to get this green toys rocket when I saw it (again at marshalls). I knew Logan would love the little men that came with it. He can put them in different compartments of the rocket and even use them with his boat too.
7. Logan got a firefly toothbrush from Grammy Parrott and it has been so helpful! He has the spiderman one and loves that it lights up (green to start and we stop brushing when the light turns red). He has never liked having his teeth brushed but it is hardly a battle at all with the soft bristles on this brush. He doesn't fight it like he used to with the other toddler brushes that we have tried.
