This Week

We have been taking weekly trips to the library. We have taken out a movie each week that we can all watch together. We are making it a family movie night of sorts. Last week it was Toy Story. This week it is Open Season. Logan hadn't seen Toy Story before and even though this was Toy Story 3, (they didn't have the first two at the library) I think it is safe to say he is hooked. He was less than thrilled about handing it back to the librarian this week. He has been talking to woody and buzz on the phone my desk calculator all week. Calls of the utmost importance of course.

Sunday Afternoon we went to a park. It was still covered in snow, but the top icy layer had melted. He was so used to being able to walk on the top of snow that he wasn't a fan of sinking into inches of it. But we got some sun and it was a good time anyway.

I have also spent some late nights getting all of the paperwork done for taxes. I am pretty convinced that there are only two good things about this process. The first is coffee. The second is that we have learned all of the things that we will do differently this coming year, as well as what worked with the paperwork side of the business this year. There are so many new things to work on all of the time. This week, I am working on a binder for Dan to keep in the car that will make things easier for record keeping (something to hold invoices, receipts for gas, a mileage tracker, business cards, etc.) It is a huge learning process, but we are expecting it to be like this for at least a few years.

And today? Was one of these days....

Dreary. Yucky. Rainy. A good day to stay in pajamas and cuddle. A book reading, movie watching, laundry here and dishes there, hang around the house kind of day. At least we got a few sunny days in this week. Hoping we will see more very soon!
