Weekend Recap

We had another fun weekend around here. I am less than thrilled that it is Monday morning and my to-do list has carried over for days. We won't talk about that though. About that fun weekend....

I have been wanting to try my hand at some broccoli cheddar soup for a long time. Broccoli was on sale last week. So I took it as an invitation to fill my cart with broccoli.  I used this recipe, and made some homemade bread to go with it. It was delicious and I will definitely be making it again!

Saturday, Logan and I spent the day with my brother. It was beautiful and sunny out so we went over to the farm. We broke out the stroller and went for a walk. Then we let Logan explore the barn for a while. There are so many animals to play with and feed. He learned where our eggs come from when my cousin took him into the chicken coupe to gather them. 

Yesterday, I was quizzing him:

"Logan, do you remember where our eggs come from?"

"Chickens..... and not horsies!"

Sunday, we went to church in the morning. Have I mentioned what a blessing it is to have Dan going with me again? For a little over a year he worked every Sunday, and it is so special to be able to go to church with him again. It is a double blessing that Logan is really loving nursery! 

The rest of the day we just hung out around the house. I did a bunch of laundry and dishes and we were otherwise pretty lazy. I love Sundays with my guys though. It is nice to have a relaxing day around the house before the week starts again.
