This morning Logan, Dan, and I were all hanging out upstairs. Logan brought us this box that is usually in his room. He wanted to know what was in it. We opened it and showed him all of the little hospital things from his birth. He loved looking at the pictures, the tape they measured him with, and his wrist and ankle bands (which are so insanely new born sized that I could just cry).
As we were looking through it he kept saying "WOW" and "Baby Nogan". He was amazed at everything we looked at. Then he started calling them his treasures. He would say "Treasure box... I love it!". I snapped a blurry picture of Dan laughing when Logan called it his treasure box (though in retrospect I wish I had gotten it on video). I didn't tell him that it is my treasure box too. I love looking back at how tiny he was, and seeing the people we love most holding him for the first time. I love remembering what it was like to sleep with him beside me for the first time ever. I love every little treasure inside it.
Days spent hanging out and making new memories are my favorite. Aside from a quick job quote, Dan has been home too! Of course it wouldn't be a snow day without the smell of a delicious crock pot meal cooking all day. I started this chicken noodle soup this morning, so it is guaranteed to make a pretty great dinner in an hour or so. What about you? Did you have a snow day too? How did you spend it?
