An Early Christmas Present & A Lesson Learned.

When I was younger, I remember being banned from my mom's room this time of year. We knew that our Christmas presents were right on the other side of her door. Although, I don't believe I ever got a look at any of them before Christmas. Maybe my mom was just a little more wise about locking her door than I have been this year. I figured Logan isn't even two yet. A diaper box in the closet with a pillow case covering it would do the trick in hiding his presents.

Dan's brother slept in Logan's room the other night, so he slept in our room. I was still half sleeping when I felt him jump down from our bed in the morning. Within about one second (barely enough time for me to open my eyes) he was across the room, and in the closet pulling this guitar out of the box. We knew the guitar was going to be a huge hit. It had kept him entertained in target while we did some Christmas shopping for a good 45 minutes. He absolutely loves music. Only the very tip of the dog's nose was sticking out of the pillowcase, but he could tell exactly what it was.

He was shrieking with excitement. He was jumping up and down. There was no stopping him. Once he spotted it, I knew he would be devastated if we took it back. Thankfully, I re-covered the other gifts before he even realized there were more presents in there. So that is how he ended up with an early Christmas present (which he is in love with) and how I learned my lesson for next year.
