This weekend.

This weekend was a busy one.
It didn't stop there either.
It continued... throughout the whole day today. In fact, I am pretty sure this is the first time I have sat down all day long. It feels fabulous. I am sitting here with my coffee and eggnog for creamer (because it is delicious... if you haven't tried it please do yourself the favor) and for the first time all day gathering my thoughts. I love this quiet time. I love just writing.
I think that sometimes I avoid writing what I am really feeling. Today is one of those days. One of those times that I need to write, but feel a little too vulnerable to write about what is really going on. I don't even know that I would be able to tell you what I am feeling if I tried to. So I am keeping it pretty effortless, because I know that I need to write for my own sanity.
Anyway back to the weekend...

Friday morning my mother in law, Cathy came to pick Logan and I up. We headed to a store in Maine hoping to score some great fabric. I have wanted to make new curtains for the living room for a while. I also wanted to make new pillows that match the color scheme a little better. We found a bunch of fabric for great prices. After we left the store we grabbed some lunch and headed home. Friday night we went to my cousin's birthday party.
The fabric for the living room curtains and pillows.
Saturday, my Mom, Chad, Dan, Logan, and I headed out to find some birthday presents for my nephew's first birthday. Have you been to Toys R Us lately? It is toy overload. I am pretty sure Logan had a blast walking around and looking at everything. It was another fun filled family day.

Sunday we headed up to Eliot ME for church. It was a wonderful sermon that I needed to hear. Ever feel like the preacher is talking directly to you? It was one of those kind of sermons. I was thankful that Logan handled nursery fine because I was able to really concentrate and I needed that.

It was a beautiful day so we let him run around outside before the drive back.
We spent the rest of the day at my mom's house. Dan, Logan, and I went for a family bike ride. We played outside. We ate my mom's chicken and spinach lasagna. I was ready to sleep by the time my head hit the pillow last night.

Today has been filled with more family time. My brother and sister in law came over tonight with my nieces. I spent the afternoon cleaning and cooking. The kids had a blast together and Logan was so upset when they had to leave.

There is my little weekend recap.
