I had been looking for a "mommy and me" type class for a while. I hadn't found anything in the area yet. Dan took swim lessons from the time he was little so for Logan's birthday my mother in law paid to sign Logan up for swim lessons. The ones for this month were already full when I called so I need to call back and sign him up for next month again soon. I love getting Logan out of the house during the day and I also love when he is around other children his age. It has been a huge blessing that my nieces live close to us. I love being able to see them every week, and think it is good for Logan to learn how to play with other children. It is going to be so much fun watching them grown up together.
Since we weren't feeling well a few weeks ago and the swim classes had been booked for February, we had spent a lot of time at home. I was happy to get an email from my friend Nicole who has a baby that is two months younger than Logan. She told me that she had found a music class that she and Maddie were going to try out and invited us to go with her. Perfect!
Both of the kids seemed a little shocked at first. There was a whole room full of other children that they had never seen before. Maddie got brave enough to come sit on my lap and after about 10 minutes, I don't think Logan even cared where I was anymore. He would stand in front of the woman who was playing the guitar and singing and just stare at her. They did bubbles and some other fun activities while singing kids songs. They loved it so by the end of the class we both decided to get the six session pass so that we can go back again. We were so glad that we went!
