14 weeks.

       Tuesday we had our 3rd prenatal appointment. We had decided that we wanted to have the baby at a birthing clinic rather than at the hospital. What we had experienced so far at the hospital was just not what we wanted to deal with during labor at all. I have heard however that the hospital we have been going to is the worst in the area as far as care and compassion goes. Anyway we were so very pleased with the birthing clinic!
      It is actually a house and the downstairs is basically all dedicated to the center. They do all of the basic things that they would do at a doctors appointment, but take so much time getting to know you and what you are looking for. It is a beautiful place and has such a peaceful feel to it. They said my blood pressure had come down a lot from my last two appointments and I would imagine it was just how much more comfortable I felt there than at the hospital.

       We had seen the heartbeat at the ultrasound, which was very cool. At this appointment she was able to pick it up with the doppler. It was such an amazing sound! They also set up our appointment to find out the baby's gender. It is set up for September 8th, and we cant wait!
