Merry Christmas! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with the ones you love. Ours was filled with family, love, and lots of fun memories. On Christmas eve we went to a candlelight service at church. It is one of my very favorite parts about Christmas. Eliott didn't make it through the whole thing, so I ended up in the nursery with him for the second half of the service. But I found myself watching him play, and being thankful for that too. There was a time when I wasn't sure that I would have another little one to celebrate Christmas with. I am so thankful for the blessings that these boys are. God is so good.
On Christmas morning, I recorded Logan's reaction to his giant darth vader toy. We got an awesome deal on it, and I knew he would love it. We opened stockings, and when Eliott woke up we read the Christmas story together. I wish I had gotten Eliott's reaction to the gifts around the tree on video. (SO excited!) We had a nice easy breakfast of cinnamon buns, and fruit salad. We opened a few gifts, and then Logan played while Eliott napped. We had a delicious lunch together, and then headed out to spend time with both sides of our family.
We had a busy weekend, and I am still tackling laundry piles, wrapping paper, and organizing new toys. I am so thankful for all of the memory making. I am thankful for Jesus, and the gift of salvation through him. Through all of the fun we had this season, I hope that I pointed my boys to that gift. I hope that that is what they hold in their hearts as they get older.
Here is a quick little video from Christmas morning...
Ah! I love that video! All the magic of Christmas in their sweet faces! :) Also love seeing your sweet boys interacting with each other. Merry Christmas, friend! :)
